The PLC Programmer will be involved in performing post-installation checkouts of Power Supply Units, Control System Panels and ancillary equipment related to Exhaust gas cleaning systems.

Qualifications
- Candidate must possess a technical degree such as Electrical Engineering, Mecatronics, Industrial, Electronics, Computer Science, or Automation & Controls.
- Must have hands-on work experience in field programming, modifying and troubleshooting industry standard PLC systems such as SIEMENS PLC hardware & software.
- At least five (5) years experience in commissioning electrical, automation & controls equipment.
- Working knowledge and experiences with panel wiring diagram & process & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
- Working knowledge of variable frequency drives (principles, parameters, etc.)
- Experience in providing end-user/client training
- Trained in marine safe work practices and safety standards.
- Proficiency in English, German and additional languages an asset.
- Can work with minimum supervision.
- Willing to work at Ports around the world, as well as sail with vessels.
- Seaman credentials and sailing experience preferred.
Responsibilities
Installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of marine exhaust gas cleaning systems onboard vessels and at Ports around the world.
