  1. Space and Power Efficiency: Ionada’s unique carbon capture system requires as little as 50% of the space and 30% of the power when compared to conventional marine carbon capture solutions. The collaboration focused on a comprehensive feasibility study to assess the integration of Ionada’s carbon capture system onto LNG carriers. It gathered critical information, demonstrating greater than 20% carbon capture. However, the carbon capture capacity is limited by CO2 storage onboard, space constraints, and off-take facility availability. As additional off-take facilities come online, the capacity can be increased. The study encompassed various parameters, including technical feasibility, economic viability, and environmental impact, to revolutionize the maritime sector’s carbon emissions reduction efforts.
